LHSAA Guiding Principles

We are a Christ centered ministry. Although our ministry vehicle is competitive athletics, we measure success by God’s standards not solely the wins and losses of any particular sport or season.

We are an extension of each home school family. As home school parents, we understand the need to partner with families in successfully answering the challenges of raising children in an increasingly secular America.

We are a community. We are a unified group of families, coaches, and volunteers providing a safe, caring, and stimulating learning environment for student-athletes, siblings, friends, parents, and coaches.

We are for student-athletes. Our heart and passion is to be active participants in developing the unique gifts and needs of student-athletes mentally, physically, and spiritually.

We are for excellence. We strive for excellence in athletics and character through the purposeful engagement of coaches, volunteers, parents, and teammates.

We are for character development. We believe competitive athletics create an intense concentration of experiences with many powerful character development and life skill teaching opportunities.
